Cross of Merit on Ribbon for Joachim Kreuzer

(pia) In a ceremony on Monday, September 12, Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann presented Joachim Kreuzer, a long-time volunteer with the German Red Cross (DRK), with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany. Feldmann paid tribute to Joachim Kreuzer's more than 60 years of tireless voluntary work in the German Red Cross as well as in disaster control. Kreuzer has, among other things, been a specialist adviser on the staff of the disaster control department of the city of Frankfurt since 1981 and was instrumental in coordinating the relief measures for the flood disaster in eastern Germany in 2002 and 2013.
