Eintracht Frankfurt and sporting goods manufacturer Nike have unveiled the new home jersey for the 2021/22 season. This year's home jersey features a black collar, which incorporates a red stripe, and two buttons in a classic black retro look. On both sides, red stripes run from the sleeves to the waistband. The club initials "SGE" are on the neck and the Eintracht eagle in black and white on the chest. The Nike Swoosh as well as the logo of main sponsor Indeed can be found in white on the front and create a visually coherent picture. The left sleeve features the logo of sleeve and logistics partner DPD. The back flocking is applied in white on the black back. The matching jersey shorts are black with red stripes on the sides and also feature the black and white Eintracht eagle. The socks are black with a wider red stripe at the top of the knee.
Sustainable innovation
.Eintracht Frankfurt's new jersey, which the professional footballers will wear on the pitch, as well as the replica jerseys for fans, are made from 100 percent recycled polyester fabric derived from recycled plastic bottles.
This creates a jersey that delivers top performance while having less impact on the environment. The plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce a high quality yarn for manufacturing. This is part of Nike's Move to Zero initiative, where football apparel is leading the way in sustainability.
No other sport attracts global attention like football, which is why Nike has been using recycled polyester to make football jerseys since 2010. Each year, Nike helps divert one billion plastic bottles from landfills and waterways by manufacturing and designing with recycled polyester.
Availability
The new home jerseys for men, women and children in the stadium version are now available for pre-order in the mainaqila app and in the Eintracht Frankfurt online shop as well as from 13. They will be available in the fan shops, at nike.com and in retail outlets from 13 July. The stadium version for men is available in sizes S to 3XL, for women and children in sizes XS to XL.
The fan version for adults and children as well as the player version will be available from around mid-July, the mini jersey set of the home jersey from the end of July.
Due to the current situation caused by the corona pandemic, there may be logistical delays, so all scheduling information is without guarantee.
Price
The home jersey in the adult stadium version will be available for 90 euros and for children for 70 euros.
