Binding presented the festival beer for the Frankfurt Oktoberfest on Tuesday, 19 August, with a traditional festival beer tasting aboard the "Frau Rauscher" boathouse on the Main River. Around 250 guests sampled the "2025 vintage" – and the verdict was favourable: the spicy, malty beer passed the taste test for the Wiesn am Main.
Among the tasters was Eintracht veteran Alexander Schur, who tapped the keg. This year marks Binding's 15th time as a partner of the Frankfurt Oktoberfest. "You can probably even taste how much we love our city and its people in our festival beer," said Claudia Geisler, press spokesperson for the company. Master brewer Sven Rumbler spoke of the "best brew in the kettle," which achieved the desired balance after a few rounds of adjustments.
The recipe remains a secret, but this much has been revealed: the amber-coloured speciality combines summer brewing barley and a proportion of dark brewing malt. Long cold storage ensures a smooth, palatable taste with a slight roasted note, while hops from Hallertau round off the profile. The sample was served with Bavarian-Hessian Oktoberfest specialities, which flanked the white, fine-pored head.
