Festival4Family 2022 will be cancelled

Due to the intensifying pandemic situation, one of Germany's largest family festivals cannot take place in the spring. A ray of hope there is nevertheless.

Record incidences, mandatory vaccination debates and new security measures - the Omikron wave currently has Germany firmly in its grip. In addition to everyday life, this is also making itself felt in the event industry. Since the beginning of the year, for example, more than 100 trade fairs have already been postponed or canceled throughout Germany. In view of the current pandemic development, the organizers of Trifels Verlag GmbH also see themselves forced to cancel the Festival4Family.

Tickets already purchased can be returned or exchanged. The Festival4Family partner Frankfurt Ticket RheinMain GmbHwill inform all buyers accordingly over the next few days.

The family festival should have been held from 30. April to 01 May 2022 in Hochheim am Main should take place.
On more than 54,000 square meters of event space should be offered to visitors with three festival stages, over 100 actions and game stations, a mascot parade and much more a diverse entertainment program.

Björn Fritsch, director of the Festival4Family, explains the reasons for the cancellation: "We had planned a major relaunch for Festival4Family 2022, offering visitors an even more spectacular experience than past festival editions with different stages, music stars and a variety of attractions. Together with our safety and hygiene experts, we fought hard until the very end to make it happen, supported by the city of Hochheim and partners from the Main-Taunus district. However, the Omikron wave has worsened the framework conditions for major events such as our festival so that an implementation is currently unfortunately not feasible."

Michael Meckel, Managing Director of Trifels Verlag, emphasizes in addition: "The safety of visitors as well as the numerous cooperation partners, artists and exhibitors is always our top priority. In view of the current precarious pandemic situation, the cancellation of the Festival4Family was ultimately the only sensible decision."

Despite the cancellation of the originally planned major event, there is also positive news: Trifels Verlag GmbH is currently working on a newly conceived alternative event, which will also take place in Hochheim am Main in the summer of 2022. More information on this will follow shortly.

For ten years already, the popular Festival4Family has been organized by Trifels Verlag in Frankfurt and has developed over time into one of the largest family festivals in Germany. In 2018 and 2019, for example, over 30,000 visitors were recorded. Together with well-known cooperation partners such as Nintendo, Zapf Creations, Haribo or Little Tikes and live performances by, among others. Lina Larissa Strahl ("Bibi & Tina"), The Voice Kids winners Mimi & Josy, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, ESC participant Jamie-Lee, Sabrina Setlur, Markus Becker ("The Red Horse") u..v.a. were created annually entertaining, funny and exciting moments for young and old.

Always in the foreground is the charity aspect at the Festival4Family. Thus, in past years, initiatives such as the Bärenherz Foundation, the Frankfurt Children's Office and the Stiftung Lesen (Reading Foundation) have been supported as part of the event. 2022 should with the Festival4Family the work of Childaid Networkwill be promoted, which has been working for years for the interests of disadvantaged children and youth in South Asia.
