Filmforum Höchst shows new Turkish cinema

(kus) The Turkish Film Festival Frankfurt is once again a guest in Höchst. Five films documenting the critical and independent spirit as well as the artistic power of Turkish filmmakers will be shown at the Filmforum. The Turkish Film Festival Frankfurt runs from November 28 to December 2 in various cinemas.

On Saturday, December 2, the Filmforum will show the documentary "Sabah Yıldızı" about Sabahattin Ali by Metin Avdaç, which depicts the life of the Turkish writer. In 1948, the latter fell victim to an as yet unsolved murder in the still young Turkish republic.

Already on Tuesday, November 28, the Turkish-Kurdish film "Rauf" will be shown at 6.30 pm. Then, at 8:30 p.m., Filmforum Höchst will show "Tereddüt - Clair obscur," a Turkish-Polish-German-French production from 2016. "Koca Dünya - Big Big World" is the name of the film that will run on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 p.m. The award-winning film "Babamin Kanatlari - My Father's Wings" explores the question of what life is worth and what it costs, starting at 8.30pm.

Admission costs 7 euros. With Frankfurt Pass, admission costs 3.50 euros. Refugees are welcome to attend. Accompanying persons of refugee groups have free admission. Ticket reservations are available by calling 069 212-45714. Information about the Turkish Film Festival is available at <link http: www.turkfilmfestival.de _blank>Http://www.turkfilmfestival.de
