In the coming days, there are once again a few restrictions in Frankfurt's public transport. This time it affects the subway lines U4 and U5. These are due to the installation of smoke aprons in the stations Festhalle/Messe and Bockenheimer Warte from Monday, 15 February, around 2 o'clock, to Friday, 19 February, around 3 o'clock, on a shortened route: the U4 runs between Enkheim and Seckbacher Landstraße and the main station, the U5 ends coming from Preungesheim at Konstablerwache.
Alternatives and expanded service
Those who change at Konstablerwache to the U4 or the S-Bahn lines can thus get to the main station. The U6 and U7 lines connect Konstablerwache with Bockenheimer Warte, the U7 is on the move with more cars.
Between Hauptbahnhof and Festhalle/Messe, lines 16 and 17 are in operation, line 16 even with additional trains. In order to provide sufficient space in the trains during the opening hours of the vaccination center at the fairgrounds, line 20 will also be used on this section of the route at ten-minute intervals.
