First stroller cinema for parents in Frankfurt

First stroller cinema for parents in Frankfurt

Actually, this action was supposed to start in April, but then the Corona pandemic put a spoke in the wheel. Now the initiators Main(e) family agency alias Sandra Hinrichs and Frankfurt with Kids alias Catrin Häusser in cooperation with Dimitrios Charistes, the theater manager of the cinema HARMONIE of the Arthouse Cinemas Frankfurt: Harmonie & Cinéma hope that it works in the second attempt: In November, they want to hold Frankfurt's first stroller cinema in the beautiful cinema in Sachsenhausen - of course with a carefully worked out hygiene concept.

So young families with babies can come to the cinema on 24. November under the motto SMALL CHILDREN, BIG CINEMA at 12 o'clock in a child-friendly ambience to enjoy the romantic drama "The Nest" with Jude Law and Carrie Coon. To make this possible, a concept has been created especially for the needs of the little ones: The strollers are parked in the cinema or in the foyer, babies are allowed to lie, sleep or crawl on the blanket they have brought with them, they are allowed to breastfeed or be given bottles and also to stand up and be cuddled, as the hygiene concept allows the spacing rules to be observed. The film chosen for this exclusive premiere will be screened at a reduced volume and the auditorium will be lightly lit during the screening. There is a bookable choice of seats and a changing table is also available.

On the one hand, the event is intended to give young parents the opportunity to finally attend an event like a cinema film again and, at the same time, is also intended to support a cultural institution like the Arthouse Kinos Frankfurt. To ensure that this also works in view of the unfortunately rapidly increasing infection figures, the event will be held in a protected setting following the current hygiene and distance rules in the arthouse cinemas.
