Flea market will take place on the northern bank of the Main from 25 January

The closure of the northern bank of the Main has not only been received positively after the first few months, as the already tense traffic situation in the city centre has now worsened considerably in some places. In order to ease the situation a little at the weekend, it has now been decided that the flea market will move from dribbdebach to hibbdebach from Saturday, January 25. It will then be held there on a fortnightly basis until the end of the traffic trial.

The north and south former lanes in the currently closed area will be used for setting up the flea market stalls, while the middle lane will remain as an escape and rescue route. At the same time, visitors will be able to walk along the stalls there and browse for all kinds of treasures. The event hours on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. remain unchanged. Market preparations begin at 6 a.m., and market vendors set up their booths from about 7 a.m. and can use the access road at the Old Bridge. By 4 p.m., the stalls will be cleared, and by 6 p.m., the area will be cleaned. The necessary parking area for the flea market vendors is located in the western section of the restricted area in the direction of Untermainbrücke. Snack bars to cater to market guests will be located in the former parking areas at the level of the Eiserner Steg.

Stall reservations are now possible at the flea market office of HFM Managementgesellschaft für Hafen und Markt by e-mail to flohmarkt@hfm-frankfurt.de or by phone at 069/212-48562. Approximately 850 meters of booth space capacity is available for flea market operations, which is less than half of the space previously used by the flea market on the south bank of the Main River. Among other things, in order to make the best use of the available space, it is necessary that permanent or fixed spaces cannot be reserved. Stands will be allocated on site on the day of the event.

With up to four hundred market participants per event date in the summer months and around 10,000 stand bookings per year, the Frankfurt flea market is one of the largest in the Rhine-Main region. As before, the Frankfurt flea market is also held at the Lindleystraße location on a weekly basis.
