Finally it's that time again: the sun is smiling, the stomach is growling - there is only one destination for all street food fans: the beautiful Food Truck Friday at the Jahrhunderthalle, which starts on 15 June into the new gourmet feel-good season. Over 40 trucks await you in the buttercup meadow around the "pond". And there really is something for every taste: besides the "Mafia Bag" and the "Kung Fu Box" you can also try "Croco Loco" at the Food Truck Friday newcomers from Mundpropaganda. Fried crocodile strips marinated with coconut, lemon cole slaw and potato dippers. Nothing for the faint of heart but a special taste experience for all foodies who like to experiment!
Also joining us for the first time is Seoulfood - healty korean kitchen, with such posh-sounding dishes as BIBIMBAB. This is not a 90s smash hit, but a tasty rice dish with various fresh vegetables, meat or tofu, an egg and gochujang. The latter, just like purpurtang, is simply something you should have eaten.
Traditional German cuisine with a modern interpretation is on the menu at ess-kult-tour. Here, among other things, the stuffed potato dumpling is the star of the menu, refined filled with minced meat, leek and bacon in a fine Riesling sauce or vegetarian stuffed with herb cream cheese on tomatized mini ratatouille. It makes your palate dance the cha-cha-cha just reading it.
For all sweet tooths and sweet tooths, a true Eldorado opens up at this year's Food Truck Friday! The finest French Pâtisserie from Pâtlairs, treats from Cereal Culture Cafe, Crêpes in every variation imaginable and not forgetting the Food Truck Friday favourites from Mellow Monkey. They're reinventing themselves again this year, rolling out the Mellow Monkey Chocolate Bar and the Mellow Monkey Marshmallow Sandwich.
Finally, let's not forget the Food Truck Friday All Stars - in from the start and true crowd-pleasers at the Schnabulier Meadow. Joining the party again are Bullys Burger, Truck up, Crêperia da Laurella, Von Erdapfel, Arnaud´s Cult Tour, Goose Gourmet, Veggiwerk, Die Waffelschwestern, and many, many more.
