'Frankfurt am Start' made a successful debut in the Brückenviertel

First edition of Frankfurt Economic Development's new action program attracted thousands of visitors to Sachsenhausen's Brückenviertel

(ffm) On 26. and 27 May, the Economic Development Agency launched its new "Frankfurt at the Start" programme in the Brückenviertel in Sachsenhausen, together with the renowned "Stilblüten" design festival and "Late-Night Shopping" in the district. In the process, the trade associations and interest groups from the district were accompanied and supported in hosting their trade shows and other activities.

In bright sunshine, around 4000 visitors found their way to the trendy district on Saturday and around 2000 on Sunday. The exhibitors and traders were very pleased with the number of visitors and the high interest in the high-quality and individual products on offer.

Commissioner for Economic Affairs Markus Frank says: "We are very pleased with this successful start. We have brought the Brückenviertel with its many individual offers closer to an interested target group!" Oliver Schwebel, Managing Director of the Economic Development Agency, emphasizes, "In this quarter, we were able to support the many local businesses in particular with the program and show that Frankfurt has diverse neighborhoods that are worth discovering."

Following this positive start, preparations for the second Gewerbeschau in 2018 are already in full swing. On September 15 and 16, the district of Oberrad is set to kick off with its nurseries, craft and service businesses, its retailers, gastronomy and other players. The trade show will be experienced throughout the district - actions will take place at Buchrainplatz and Saalbau Depot Oberrad, among others.

The Offenbacher Landstraße shines in new splendour after the comprehensive redesign. The Office for Road Construction and Development (ASE), the Frankfurt Transport Authority (VGF), traffiQ and Stadtentwässerung Frankfurt (SEF) have announced that they will be thanking residents and traders with campaigns in the district on the same weekend.
