Frankfurt-based company TeeFee goes into the 'Lion's Den'

The concept is as simple as it is ingenious: young companies present their ideas to experienced business people so that they can then support them with money and know-how. When this succeeds, real success stories are written. Both in the British original "Dragon's Den", as well as in the US spin-off "Shark Tank" or the German version, the VOX ratings hit "Die Höhle der Löwen". Viewers are not only fascinated by the ideas presented here, but also by the reaction of the "lions", which can sometimes be harsh and merciless.

After three very successful seasons, however, anyone who ventures into the "Höhle der Löwen" should know what to expect there. So does <link http: tee-fee.de _blank>Frankfurt-based start-up TeeFee, which was founded five years ago. Jill-Evelyn Erlach and Marco Rühl are actually already very successful with their products - organic teas for babies and toddlers. Their products are not only available online, but also at large chains such as REWE or dm. But now the two founders feel the time has come to expand their product range to include other types of tea, syrup or muesli and to expand in the market. And for this they need the help of a lion.

For 1 million euros, the TeeFee makers offered 25% of their company. The tea completely without added sugar and without artificial additives could not convince Ralf Dümmel, Dagmar Wöhrl, Frank Thelen, Carsten Maschmyer and Georg Kofler in terms of taste. On the other hand, they were very taken with the appearance of the two founders and the brand itself, knowing full well that they are not part of the target group and that their taste buds are simply too used to industrial sugar. Nevertheless, all the lions found the company's valuation too high, which is why they balked at investing 1 million euros. And so there was no deal for TeeFee. This is disappointing, but Jill-Evelyn Erlach and Marco Rühl presented themselves so competently and sympathetically that not only the lions are sure that they will go their way. <link https: www.facebook.com events _blank>
