Frankfurt Brand Gala 2022 - The Winners

On Saturday, October 29, it was that time again: the "Marken Gala", one of the most important business galas in Germany, took place at the Alte Oper. Around 700 guests from politics, marketing, advertising, business and media came together in the festive ambience of the Alte Oper to celebrate exceptional achievements in brand management.

The prestigious award, the "Golden Brandeisen", went this year to the car rental company Sixt. The award of the brand was justified with the early recognized success of striking advertising slogans, which even in the recent past still seems amazingly fresh and works really well. Thus, the brand value has almost quadrupled in the last five years alone. Sixt ranks itself with the honor in a row of prominent winners such as Strauss, Stihl, Edeka, DM, Bahlsen and Kärcher.

Next to established companies, however, young companies are also honored at the Marken Gala. With the young talent award "Frankfurter Sprungfeder", a promising startup has been honored every year since 2015. In 2022, the choice fell on food manufacturer Neggst, which prevailed against 87 competitors. With its vegan egg alternative, the food startup Neggst was able to convince the jury in every respect. Both the business idea based on sustainability, as well as the market potential and the presentation of the brand were able to hold their own against the other sometimes very strong start-ups. The joy with the team of Neggst must be large, because apart from the solemn award of the prize in the context of the mark Gala a package at prices in the total value of over 150 thousand euro, consisting of Coachings, medium achievements u.v.m., beckons to the winner of the Frankfurt spring. This makes the Frankfurt Spring one of the most highly endowed prizes in the German StartUp scene.

There were two more prizes awarded at the gala, which was hosted by the Weimer Media Group and the Marketing Club Frankfurt: The awards in the two categories "Living Brand" and "Political Brand." The former prize went to talk show star Markus Lanz, whose name "stands for open debate, critical questioning and informational enlightenment on all the major issues facing the political nation," according to the jury. The head of the Social Democrats, Lars Klingbeil, is being honored for one of the most spectacular comebacks in German political history. "Klingbeil's systematic focus on the political center and Angela Merkel's legacy reanimated the fading popular party aura of social democracy," the statement said.

The "Marken Gala" has been held since 2004. The circle of perennial cooperation partners includes companies such as SAP, Deutsche Vermögensberatung, Lotto Hessen, Bucherer Fine Jewellery, Metzler, Genesis, Melitta, Fraport, Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt, Eckes-Granini, pwc, Procter & Gamble, Lufthansa and Nestlé.
