The start of vaccinations against the corona virus could begin in a few weeks. The planning around the vaccination centers, which are currently being built all over Hesse, is therefore in full swing. So also in Frankfurt, where - we had reported about it HERE - a large vaccination center is being built on the grounds of the Messe Frankfurt. About the state of affairs informed last Thursday health department head Stefan Majer in the social and health committee of the city council. In doing so, Majer, who also heads the city's Corona administrative staff, specifically praised the institutions involved: "The vaccination center planning staff, headed by the health department, is working at full speed and with great competence on this mammoth logistical task, with the support of the local emergency services."
The deputy head of the health department, Antoni Walczok, is also positive about the approach of the vaccination centre planning staff: "It is going well and we are confident that the vaccination centre will be ready in the given time. Many details have to be sorted out in the shortest possible time, these range from the development of flow charts for the vaccination lanes, the recruitment and training of suitable personnel to the technical set-up and questions about transport and the storage of the vaccines - a very complex process in which we are also dependent at many points on the timely provision by the federal government and the state of Hesse."
With an info sheet, which will be updated regularly, the health department and the health department provide information about the current status of the planning, organization and distribution of a Corona vaccination in Frankfurt am Main and answer frequently asked questions. "With this information sheet, we are creating the greatest possible transparency and acceptance. With this, we also want to achieve that many people get vaccinated. Because only with a high vaccination rate can we finally take steps back to normality in the course of next year," emphasizes Stefan Majer.
At the same time, he cautions, "We know how high the hopes of many people are for the upcoming vaccination. But under no circumstances should this lead us to become lax in precautions and hygiene rules now."
