Frankfurt gets a brewery at the new Henninger Tower

Soon the time will come: The new Henninger Tower is finished and with it the area, which was a large construction site for a long time, will be revived. Directly at the foot of the tower, a new meeting place will open in November, not only but of course especially for beer lovers, where Frankfurt's brewing tradition will take centre stage. The "Henninger am Turm - Das Frankfurter Brauhaus" is the first, official Henninger Brauhaus. It will serve the classic Henninger Kaiser Pilsner and various beer specialties. In addition, there will be a food offer that friends of traditional brewery specialties, typical Frankfurt cuisine, but also burger and pizza fans will be happy about.

Guests can expect very original cosiness in a modern environment. Actually, it is surprising that such a brewery will only exist now. After all, Frankfurt looks back on a long and varied brewing tradition. Brands such as Henninger and Binding are still an integral part of the Main metropolis today. Nevertheless, until now there has been no brewery in Frankfurt that bears one of these brand names and embodies Frankfurt's brewing tradition in such a way. This will change with the "Henninger am Turm - Das Frankfurter Brauhaus". As a new landmark and in the direct vicinity of the Henninger or Binding brewery, the Henninger Tower is predestined as a location for the first, official Henninger Brauhaus.

It is important to the operators that the brewery becomes a meeting place. A place where everyone feels at home. Whether neighbors and families, old and young, athletes and the lunch guest. For all of them, the "Henninger am Turm - Das Frankfurter Brauhaus" should be a cross-generational meeting place for all Frankfurt residents and their guests. Since a rather ready target audience is thus addressed, the offer must also cover accordingly different tastes.

"A balance between traditional food and down-to-earth, modern dishes is important to us," says Matthias Schönberger, who will run the brewery together with Tobias Jäkel - both managing directors of the Japanese noodle bar chain MoschMosch. So in addition to classics like pork knuckle or schnitzel, the menu will also include typical Frankfurt dishes, burgers and brewhouse pizzas. For those who don't like it quite so hearty, light meals and fresh salads will be added to the menu. And there is also to be a special offer on the menu for young guests.

The focus of the drinks menu is, of course, beer. Freshly tapped from the barrel will be a variety of Henninger beer specialties. Guests will also be able to have any draft beer bottled in two-liter bottles to take home as a souvenir. The beer selection is complemented by brands such as Jever, Schöfferhofer Weizen, Clausthaler, Berliner Kindl, Allgäuer Büble Bayrisch hell or also the masterfully brewed craft beers from Frankfurt by Braufactum. In addition, there are wines, cider, spirits, fruit and noble brandies and non-alcoholic drinks such as Fassbrause or homemade lemonade.

All this is intended to guarantee a high feel-good factor - whether you visit the brewery alone, as a couple or in a larger group. When designing the interior, the motto was "cosiness with style". Accordingly, the combination of tradition and modernity, middle-class and avant-garde in the overall concept was important. The traditional format with Schwemme, bar and large guest room is integrated into the new, modern environment of the Henninger Turm. Maintaining the traditional cosiness is therefore an important basic idea in the design of the new brewery. The interior offers space for around 190 guests, while outside there is a further 90 seats in the beer garden.

What that will look like exactly and how it tastes in the "Henninger am Turm - Das Frankfurter Brauhaus", you will find out after the opening in our pleasure tips!
