Frankfurt is colorful - rally invites you to dance together

Last year a small group around restaurateur Sia Sanei, DJ Christian Rindermann (C-Rock), Mengi Zelleke (OYE) and MOMEM director Alex Azary got together to unite people with a very special rally for the World Day of Peace on September 01. Under the credo "Love is our religion - Music is our language" people were supposed to meet on Goetheplatz to dance together to music that was played there by various DJs. The success was overwhelming for the makers, so that there will be a new edition this year. This one will be even more colourful and even more cheerful.

Consciously one does not want to position oneself here against something. The rally has a positive background and stands therefore FOR all the commonalities that all people have, however different they may be in origin, culture or religion. "I've observed two places where it doesn't matter what you look like or where you come from," says Sia Sanei. "One place is the nursery school, when kids are completely on their own. And the second place is the dance floor." These days we get so much coverage about things that divide us, that open up rifts between people. That's where an event that aims to bring people together no matter their cultural background, social class, sexual orientation or religious beliefs is not only beautiful, but hugely important.

The fact that this year the festival<link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc rock-gegen-rechts-setzt-am-1-september-ein-zeichen-gegen-rassismus.html _blank> "Rock gegen Rechts" is taking place at the same time on the Opernplatz does not bother the initiators of "Frankfurt ist bunt". On the contrary: Frankfurt is big enough for several such events and it is great to see that people in different places of the city use the World Peace Day to show attitude.

As last year, the patron is Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann, who liked the special atmosphere at the first edition of this rally. He too is convinced that it is worthwhile to approach each other and that diversity promotes cohesion instead of endangering it. Frankfurt would prove that again day after day.

For seven hours on Saturday there will be non-stop music, performances and other artistic acts. At the same time, every visitor is also invited to actively participate. Everyone is invited to come as colorful as possible, gladly also in costumes, bring your own instruments and present yourself on the stage at Goetheplatz. It is not a commercial event with food and beverage stands or special events. It's simply a peaceful, happy and colorful get-together, where people dance and celebrate - and that even after it ends at 10pm or so at the AMP, where the official after-show party will take place.

01.09.2018 from 3pm on Goetheplatz - Come by and dance with us!
