About this year's FREILUFT KINO FRANKFURT we have already reported to you in detail HERE. Film enjoyment under the open sky is always something special. But in the middle of the Frankfurt skyline, surrounded by high skyscrapers - that is really unique. Now it is actually already over again with this beautiful cinema series, which almost 2000 visitors enjoyed. But if you didn't take advantage of the last opportunities to experience this open air cinema, there is good news: There is one more week of open air cinema! And you should use it. If only because of the magnificent location: a place that lies in the heart of the city, and yet has remained inaccessible to most Frankfurt residents for 46 years: the inner courtyard of the former Deutsche Bank site is like that lonely island that everyone longs for. But soon this unique spot in Frankfurt will disappear. The site will make way for the future FOUR high-rise quarter. Before the demolition is due in early 2018, the Freiluftkino Frankfurt has emigrated to this uninhabited island for a month.
Because the weather was not always gracious to the organizers and the feedback from the audience was so positive, the Freiluftkino will go into extension from Wednesday:
Showing then:
MI: GHOSTLAND (after the cancellation due to weather, it now works for sure!)
DO: HELL OR HIGH WATER (definitely worth seeing!!)
FR: Woody Allen's CAFÉ SOCIETY
SA: MANCHESTER BY THE SEA
You can find more info as usual on the website and Facebook-Page of the Freiluftkino Frankfurt.
The former Deutsche Bank-Areal is located in the Große Gallusstraße 10-14. The Roßmarkt is less than 100 meters away. The courtyard is open every evening from 7pm, the film then starts when it is sufficiently dark. Tickets are available for 9 euros.
The Freiluftkino Frankfurt is a project of LICHTER Filmkultur e.V. and Daniel Brettschneider (Ladenkino, Lederpalast).
