Georg Plesser, General Manager of Villa Kennedy, a Rocco Forte Hotel, will leave the luxury hotel at the end of the year to take over the management of the renowned Grandhotel Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne in January 2020.
Since its pre-opening phase in 2006, the experienced manager has led the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt am Main, which celebrated its 13th anniversary this March. Georg Plesser has fond memories of this time: "I look back with great pride on what we have achieved: Villa Kennedy, which I opened almost 14 years ago and managed with great pleasure - on a successful team, milestones we have experienced together, and the friendships and business relationships we have made in Frankfurt. And yet, after so many fulfilling years, it is time for a professional reorientation and change: in January 2020, I will take over the Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne as Managing Director and Board Member. I am very much looking forward to my new role, and to contributing my accumulated experience and knowledge to this special traditional hotel."

We regret his departure from the company extremely, even if we understand his desire for a new challenge of course, " said Heller, about the departure of his longtime companion.
Still to the end of the year, the Villa Kennedy will be managed by Georg Plesser. His successor is currently open, talks are actively being held.
About Georg Plesser
Georg Plesser dedicated his entire professional vita to the luxury hotel industry. His international career took him to The Waldorf Astoria in New York, Zurich's Ermitage am See and Munich's Geisel Hotels. For The Ritz-Carlton, Plesser went to Barcelona, Naples in Florida and the Marina del Rey in California, and for Kempinski Hotels to Beijing. In 2006, he opened Villa Kennedy for Rocco Forte, which he has managed ever since.

The Rocco Forte Villa Kennedy is the first of three Rocco Forte hotels in Germany and is located on Frankfurt's Kennedyallee on the southern bank of the Main River. The centre of the five-star superior hotel is the Villa Speyer, which was built in 1901 as the residence of a Frankfurt banking family and is now considered a true oasis in the vibrant financial metropolis.
