Germany's most beautiful jogging path: 'Frankfurter Runde' on the banks of the Main in front of the skyline

Move around, escape the lockdown and enjoy the first rays of spring sunshine while exercising - it's good for our health, but also for our soul. In Frankfurt there are some beautiful routes that are perfect for cycling or skating, but especially for jogging. One of the most popular and also most beautiful running routes is undoubtedly the Mainufer. For all those who want to treat their body to another workout in addition to running, this route is now even more attractive. The reason for this is the "Frankfurter Runde" project of the Department of Economics, for which the starting signal was given last Friday. Along three possible routes (5.4 km, 7.5 km or 10.2 km), digital workout stations can be accessed, with exercises specifically designed for the respective sections.

Economic Affairs Director Markus Frank is enthusiastic about the project: "An idea that makes our city a bit more sporty and attractive. Quite simply, by giving the already great running circuit on the Main a real workout extension. With 10 professionally curated workout stations that can be accessed digitally at and used 24/7. Many thanks for this really great commitment to all the 'doers' who are steering this project, thanks also to the city departments involved who have done everything to make it possible. We wish our citizens and the guests of our beautiful city a lot of fun training outdoors in front of the great backdrop of the Frankfurt skyline."

The individual exercises have been developed by the participating trainers Steffen Laudely and Michael Schmelzer and are regularly exchanged, so that especially sports enthusiasts who want to use the offer regularly do not get bored. The idea is also supported by the sponsors of the individual stations, from Eintracht Frankfurt Triathlon. to the cycling classic Eschborn - Frankfurt, Desres Design Büro, Frankfurt City Triathlon, the Monday running meeting of the Frankfurt running shop, Ironman Frankfurt, guilty76 Racing, the sports city of Frankfurt to the club SC Frankfurt1880 and the marathon runner Katharina Steinruck.
