Goethe Tower briefly closed again - UPDATE

Update (04/09/2021): After the short-term closure of the Goethe Tower in the middle of the week, the popular excursion destination is now always open on weekends from 8 am until nightfall, but no later than 8 pm. The tower will remain closed on weekdays. The Goethe Tower will reopen for the first time on Saturday, April 10. Current Corona sanitation rules apply.

Original article:That was a short-lived pleasure: After only a few days that the new Goetheturm could finally be climbed by visitors, the popular Frankfurt landmark must now be closed again - at least for a short time. The reason for the renewed closure is probably some screws that have come loose on the steps. Just yesterday, the city of Frankfurt wrote on Twitter: "Our beloved #Goetheturm is now open daily from 8am until nightfall, until 8pm at the latest. The usual hygiene rules apply and you may have to wait a bit for your turn."

So now today they had to row back again: During a safety inspection on Tuesday evening, it was determined, according to the city, that minor rework is still needed to ensure the safety of the visitors*. Therefore, the green space office must close the tower again temporarily. The loose screws are to be tightened today. How long it will take until the tower will be open again, could not be said yet.

We will keep you informed of course! As soon as you have the chance to climb the 43.3 meter high wooden tower again and enjoy the wonderful view of our city from the observation deck, we will update this article!
