Green Sauce Makes Christmas - Promoting Gastronomy and Frankfurt Retail

27.11.2020 | 15:02 Clock | Citywhispers

In any "normal" year, there are several Christmas markets in and around at once. And also in this year, in which somehow everything is different, there is not only one, but several Frankfurt Christmas markets on the net: In addition to our offer the 1st Virtual Christmas Market Frankfurt & Rhein-Main, which enjoys gratifyingly great popularity (a big thank you for that), the city of Frankfurt itself has also opened a Christmas market platform. On the 1st of Advent, the Green Sauce Festival will follow with a virtual Christmas market.

The goal of all these offers (which are not in competition with each other for exactly this reason) is to support merchants and showmen in this difficult time and to bring a little bit of Christmas spirit home to all citizens. The offer of the regional online platform, which was launched by the team of the Green Sauce Festival, ranges from goose leg to mulled wine, Bethmännchen baking box, eggnog and pre-Christmas specialties to entire Christmas menus. Plus, select beverage packages from many of the festival's wineries and wine presses. Also nice Christmas gifts and thank-you gifts for this really unusual and difficult year can be found on the platform. All this can then be ordered together in the online shop - around 15 businesses from Frankfurt's retail trade and the region are involved so far. And for Grie Soß fans there is extra until 24 December the fresh herbs and of course a ready-made sauce from the producer. Delicious!

The really special thing about this virtual Christmas market is that visitors can not only "stroll" and shop, but also vigorously guess along: Frankfurt-based game designer Willi Weber has developed an entertaining daily puzzle for this purpose, which is not only fun, but also offers great prizes to be won. In addition, there is a small online event on the site every day. Thanks to the "events calendar", visitors to this digital Christmas market can look forward to music and comedy as well as magic or cooking shows.

The Green Sauce Christmas Market is supported by the Frankfurt Economic Development Corporation. Economic Councillor Markus Frank is pleased about this action: "Especially now it is important to promote retail and gastronomy, in this respect a great idea that now helps to bridge the time," he said.

The Green Sauce Share - the special voucher

The support of gastronomy, culture and retail should continue in the coming year. For this, the Green Sauce Festival initiators Maja Wolff and Torsten Müller have come up with something very special: the Green Sauce Share. This goes on 1 December to the start. The share, which has a voucher value of 10 <x>ampersand</x>euro;, is a nice gift idea for all those who still have no idea what they want to give their loved ones. It can then be redeemed at numerous participating food service establishments and retail partners in the coming year as well. However, the possibilities can grow indefinitely in the coming weeks and maybe soon you can also pay for your next visit to the theatre with the Grüne Soße share.

"We deliberately chose share instead of voucher" says Maja Wolff, "it suits Frankfurt wonderfully." Unlike other shares traded in the financial metropolis of Frankfurt, however, this one can only go up in value. Among other things, there will be special promotions in which it will be worth 12 euros instead of 10 euros and possibly there will be "dividends" in the form of Mispelchen or an Äppler in one or the other restaurant. No question: to give away one (or more) Green Sauce share(s) is a really good idea!

Torsten Müller of course sees it that way: "Frankfurt deserves a Green Sauce share" says Müller. "The gastronomy, retail and also culture need more support than ever. We want to see a share package under every Christmas tree!" Whether you want to give this special gift certificate as a present or are looking for other gift ideas, whether you want to tax your little grey cells in the daily puzzle or want to experience a little bit of online culture - a visit to the Grüne Soße Christmas Market is definitely worth a visit.
