For five years now, star designer Guido Maria Kretschmer has been looking for the "Shopping Queen" every weekday on VOX. In over 1000 episodes so far, women - and also a few men - from all over Germany have put their shopping skills to the test - always amusingly and charmingly commented by Guido Maria Kretschmer and the delightful off-commentary by Thorsten Schorn. Even after half a decade, the popular format still shows no signs of fatigue and provides the channel with consistently good ratings.
The concept is very simple: Every week, five candidates from one city compete for the title of "Shopping Queen", which of course also comes with prize money of 1000 euros. The ladies have a budget of 500 euros and four hours to put together the perfect outfit for a given theme. Of course, Kretschmer and his team have already been to Frankfurt a few times. In March, "Shopping Queen" will once again come to the Main metropolis.
