Hands-on sustainability - learning festival for families at the Orangerie in Günthersburgpark

(kus) The Orangerie in Günthersburgpark will become a greenhouse for the future on Sunday, November 19, from 2 to 5 pm. At a colorful learning festival for young and old, you can inform yourself, experiment, tinker and solve exciting tasks on topics from the learning workshops "Recycling", "What is (m)a T-shirt worth?" and "Climate and Energy".

Visitors to the Learning Festival set shining examples of sustainability and climate protection in the dark season. They can experiment with a wind generator and a Christmas pyramid or tinker with their own mini robot. There will also be the opportunity to roast, grind and brew fair trade coffee yourself. If you want to solder solar lights, please bring a jar of cucumbers.

In keeping with the season, visitors can make their own paper Christmas cards. Old glass jars can be given a second life by creatively up-cycling them. Empty blanks are to be brought along. Anyone who wants to can learn tips and tricks for saving energy or marvel at how much water is in a T-shirt.

The family festival takes place as part of the campaign "Fit for the future - learning sustainability in Frankfurt". For this, Frankfurt received the award City of the UNESCO World Action Programme Education for Sustainable Development. The association Umweltlernen offers the festival in cooperation with other partners
