Hessian Corona Cabinet approves further cautious easing

19.07.2021 | 16:51 Clock | Service

It's summer holidays! Hesse's Minister President Volker Bouffier hopes that they may be carefree, but continues to call on citizens to be cautious - because the pandemic is not over yet. Even though the infection figures are rising again - steadily, but fortunately still at a low level - Bouffier, together with Economics Minister Tarek Al-Wazir, today announced new relief measures that the Hessian Corona Cabinet decided on today. According to Bouffier, these are justifiable, since the burden on the clinics has (so far) remained low, despite the delta variant that has been steadily spreading for several weeks. Nevertheless, it is still called to remain cautious.

The decisions taken today will apply from next Thursday (22.07.) until initially 19 August. They are as follows:

Events

Here the number of possible participants <./p>

indoors up to 750 and

outdoors up to 1500.

Anything above that must be approved in advance.

For indoor events of up to 100 people, testing is not required.

BUT: For events of more than 100 people, the testing obligation then applies to everyone - including vaccinated and recovered people!

At folk festivals, contact data collection is only required in gastronomic areas

Large-scale events

This applies especially to stadiums. With a crowd of 5,000 or more, 50% stadiums can be used to a maximum of 25,000 people. D

Hotels &Restaurants

.For indoor catering, the testing requirement does not apply

For overnight tourist stays, a negative test (or proof of vaccination or convalescence) only needs to be presented once.

Clubs & Discotheques.

Dancing events are still only allowed in outdoor areas. Per person only 5sqm must be planned for it. In indoor areas, clubs and discos may continue to open only as a bar/gastronomy.

All these rules apply only up to an incidence of 35. If the incidence is above this in a county or a city without a county, the somewhat more limited rules apply again. From 50 and above, further restrictions may apply. Minister President Bouffier, however, also makes this dependent on the development in the hospitals. And Tarek Al-Wazir added that the further course of action also depends heavily on how many people get vaccinated. In the course of this, he made it clear that there were now many free vaccination dates, so that all those willing to be vaccinated could be vaccinated promptly.
