On 1 December 2025, Frankfurt welcomed back an old acquaintance in a new guise: THE FLORENTIN OPENS ITS DOORS. We have been eagerly awaiting the opening date. What you previously knew as Villa Kennedy is now THE FLORENTIN, the new icon of the Althoff Hotel Collection. THE FLORENTIN is designed as an urban retreat. You will stay in a listed villa dating from 1901, connected to modern wing buildings, with a total of 147 rooms and suites. The loft suites, for example, are spacious, quiet, with clean lines and warm materials. They are aimed at guests who want to consciously slow down in the middle of the city. The centre of the hotel is the lushly landscaped inner courtyard, the Garden Courtyard. This is where the lobby, lounge areas and restaurants meet. The Garden restaurant serves modern European cuisine with a regional focus, from breakfast and lunch to small snacks and a relaxed dinner.
A culinary highlight is The Dune restaurant, the hotel's destination restaurant. The kitchen is run by Niclas Nußbaumer, recently awarded the title of Germany's youngest two-star chef. You can choose between a menu that gets better with every course or a social dining concept where you share the dishes. Table reservations for The Dune can now be made online. Given the new rising star in Frankfurt's gastronomic sky, you can expect high demand and should plan your visit well in advance.
If you want to end the day on a quiet note, the Florentin Bar is the perfect place. The bar focuses on classic and modern cocktails, a carefully curated selection of wines and spirits, and light bar snacks. It is ideal for an aperitif before dinner or a late night drink after a concert or an evening at the Museumsufer.
Relaxation is provided by The Spa provides relaxation with five treatment rooms, also for two people, a light-flooded 14-metre indoor pool with a view of the spa garden, several saunas, relaxation areas and fitness facilities.
