UPDATE of 11.08: Again after only one day, the relaxations announced on Tuesday for Frankfurt have to be reversed. Since the 7-day incidence is again above the value of 35, stricter rules (such as the testing or vaccination proof requirement for indoor catering, for example) will again apply for at least 5 days.

Frankfurt is allowed to loosen up again - the only question is how long: After the seven-day incidence for new reports of infections with SARS-CoV-2 in Frankfurt am Main remained below the mark of 35 per 100.000 inhabitants, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the "sixth general order of the city of Frankfurt am Main to combat the further spread of the novel coronavirus in the urban area of 22.07.2021" suspended.
With this, the regulations of the Coronavirus Protection Ordinance (CoSchuV) of the Hessian state government of 22 July 2021 apply in the city.
Significant changes for Frankfurt are as follows:
The number of attendees for permit-exempt events indoors will be raised from 250 to 750, and outdoors from 500 to 1500.
Furthermore, negative proof in the sense of "recovered, vaccinated or tested" is no longer required
in the interior of restaurants
at events, meetings, trade fairs, cultural events with up to 100 participants (previously up to 25)
in casinos, gambling halls and similar establishments
in hotels no more testing during the stay (the testing obligation on arrival remains).
Should the seven-day incidence exceed the 35/100,000 population mark again on any day, the restrictions must be immediately reinstated in accordance with Hesse's escalation concept. More on the concept is available at soziales.hessen.de
Regardless of the relaxations now in effect, the health department asks to remain prudent: "Please get vaccinated and continue to comply with AHA rules, the pandemic is not over."
