Large range of online courses at the Volkshochschule Frankfurt

The Volkshochschule Frankfurt am Main (VHS) has also been experiencing severely limited course offerings for several months - and will continue to do so until at least February 28. While attempts are being made to make up individual dates or entire courses for some courses where no face-to-face instruction is possible, attempts are being made to convert other offerings to online formats. Participants who have already registered will be informed by the VHS. Likewise, the refund of course fees will be regulated.

Exceptions from the partial closure concern BAMF courses including integration courses and German courses preparing for work according to the German Support Ordinance (DeuFöV), already arranged appointments in language counselling as well as exams or exam preparation and final courses in the school and vocational area. These offers take place under the offered distance and hygiene rules.

The VHS is quite well prepared for this second lockdown and has significantly increased the number of online offers since the spring. Currently, there are about 275 online courses in the current schedule - and that number is growing. The online courses cover a large part of the VHS portfolio: these include courses from the social sector, vocational training, social media, languages, culture and creativity as well as health. There are also offers for senior citizens. Also, some of the educational holidays from the offer area of work and career has been converted to an online format.

The courses are bookable via the VHS website https://vhs.frankfurt.de. On the subject of course operation and Corona, the Adult Education Center provides information at https://vhs.frankfurt.de/corona. The VHS can be reached by phone at 069/212-71501. Emails can be sent to vhs@frankfurt.de.
