Lord Mayor wraps Christmas presents in MyZeil to benefit Main Kind

(kus) Last Saturday, celebrities from politics and business wrapped Christmas presents for the benefit of the Main Kind association in Frankfurt's MyZeil shopping center and were delighted to receive donations from customers. Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann, who is a founding member and patron of the association, took part in the campaign and said: "Main Kind has now been in existence for five years. In this rather short time, many projects have already been initiated and socially disadvantaged children have been supported. I am impressed by how great the response to this important work is." Feldmann also emphasized that he was pleased that Main Kind was supported by many well-known personalities.

Sandra Schellhase-Bender, chairwoman of the association, emphasized, "I would like to thank all the celebrities and active people who have agreed to come on an Advent Saturday to raise funds for Main Kind. I know that the diaries are particularly full at Christmas. That makes today's commitment all the more commendable."

In addition to Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann and Sandra Schellhase-Bender, the wrapping service was supported by Holger Beckmann, headmaster of the Erasmus City School, Karl Gerlach, co-founder and shareholder ORKA Investment GmbH, MyZeil Center manager Marcus Schwartz, FIA board members Stefan Söhngen and Alexander Bode, presenter Tim Frühling and singer Sabrina Setlur, among others.

Sabrina Setlur explained: "Getting involved with Main Kind is a matter of honour for me. It's a way for me to do something good for the people in my hometown."

Main Kind is dedicated to the fight against child poverty in Frankfurt and supports projects that enable children from socially disadvantaged families to participate in society. The aim of the association is to give those children the opportunity to participate in educational opportunities and entertainment formats who would otherwise not be able to.

The proceeds from the voluntary fundraiser: a whole 6,000 euros!

Marcus Schwartz, Center Manager MyZeil is proud to report: "The MyZeil, the FIA and the board Main Kind e.V. initiated this great community action in favour of Main Kind e.V. We gave our voice to the action and are of course happy to be able to make a small contribution against child poverty in our city Frankfurt with our collected donations. In just 4 hours we were able to collect 6,000 euros together with large donations! A great success!"

Schwartz, who already participated in the run-up with 1,000€ in the action, was incentive for other prominent donation actors: Holger Beckmann, regional director of the ASB Hesse and the headmaster of the ERASMUS Frankfurt City School supported by the ASB participated with a donation of 2,500 euros.
