Luxury meets nature: WALD.WEIT Rheingau Hotel & Retreat officially opened

With a festive opening ceremony and prominent guests from politics, business, culture and tourism, the new WALD.WEIT Rheingau Hotel & Retreat in Kiedrich was officially inaugurated today with a festive opening ceremony and prominent guests from the worlds of politics, business, culture and tourism. The modern luxury retreat combines stylish architecture with sustainability and offers an extraordinary oasis of tranquillity in the heart of the Rheingau region on 18 hectares of private forest.

The hotel project was developed by TT Hospitality GmbH & Co. KG, headed by siblings Tina Badrot and Tim Gemünden. WALD.WEIT has been welcoming guests from all over the world since February 2025 – and now the hotel has been officially opened with a ceremony. General Manager David Simon and the owner family welcomed around 100 invited guests, including the Mayor of Berlin, Michael Rühl.u0022>David Simon and the owner family welcomed around 100 invited guests, including the Hessian Minister for Agriculture, Environment, Viticulture, Forestry, Hunting and Home Affairs, Ingmar Jung, and Kiedrich's mayor Winfried Steinmacher. Mayor Steinmacher called the hotel a "tourist beacon for the region" and expressed his pride in the development of the long-derelict site. Minister Jung particularly praised the sustainable construction and responsible use of natural resources: "The extensive use of wood and the natural architecture are exemplary for future-oriented tourism."

The 80-room hotel with balconies or terraces was designed in collaboration with the Wiesbaden-based firm BGF+ Architekten. Large windows, clean lines, lots of wood and natural materials characterise the design. The restaurant WALD.FEIN with head chef Falk Richter focuses on regional ingredients and innovative interpretations – accompanied by top wines from the Rheingau region.

With its quiet but well-connected location near Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt, WALD.WEIT is aimed at both individual guests and organisers of larger events and conferences. The combination of nature, architecture, enjoyment and accessibility makes it a new flagship for sustainable luxury tourism in the heart of the Rheingau.
