Math can be fun! You don't believe that? Then just take a look at the Hessen-Center. Here, six themed islands with interactive exhibits invite children and adults alike to experiment and participate.
Interactively and creatively, the exhibition "MatheMagie", developed by EuroScience GmbH in cooperation with the Mathematikum in Gießen, enables you to deal with mathematical phenomena and explains mathematics in everyday life in an entertaining way. The exhibits in the basement and ground floor of the Hessen-Center are assigned to six different mathematical theme islands, which stimulate playing, thinking and research in equal measure. It is shown, for example, that mathematics is something we encounter not only at school, but also when riding the train, listening to music or many other everyday activities.
Not pen and paper accompany us in the exhibition, but only our own hands and our sense of observation are encouraged to participate. One looks, reads briefly, tries out, observes and . understands. And without realising it, you find yourself in the middle of the world of probability, geometry and co.
Customers and visitors to the Hessen-Center have the opportunity to take part in the free guided tours of the exhibition. Registrations are welcome at the customer information desk on the ground floor (phone: 06109 - 733 630).
The traveling exhibition "MathMagic" will tour the shopping centers operated by ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co. KG in Germany as well as Europe until the end of 2021. Partners and sponsors of the exhibition are the Mathematikum Gießen, Börse Stuttgart AG and Stiftung Rechnen.
