Despite a comprehensive hygiene concept and many exhibitor commitments, the consumer fair cannot take place in April 2022. The reason is the intensifying pandemic situation.
Against the background of the currently rampant Omikron variant, the organizers of Trifels Verlag GmbH see themselves forced to cancel the Messe Rhein-Main 2022. Together with the hygiene and safety experts of AES concept was fought until the end for an implementation, which is now, however, not feasible in view of the pandemic development.
The Rhine-Main trade fair was to take place from April 22 to 24, 2022 in the trade fair park at the water tower in Hochheim am Main. It was planned to present new products, innovations and trends to visitors on an area of 54,755 square meters in various theme worlds.
"After months of planning, it is very disappointing for us to have to cancel the Rhein-Main 2022 trade fair. We have fought intensively for a realization and initially also received great support for this from the Main-Taunus district and the city of Hochheim. In the meantime, however, we have to deal with a significantly changed pandemic situation due to the rapidly spreading Omikron variant, which creates a deterioration of the general conditions for Messe Rhein-Main, over which we as organizers have no influence.", Björn Fritsch, Director of Messe Rhein-Main, comments on the event cancellation.
Michael Meckel, Managing Director of Trifels Verlag, adds: "We are extremely grateful that our exhibitors have always remained loyal to us throughout the pandemic-related postponements. The fact that we must cancel the fair now for this year hurts us therefore not only as organizers, but also, because we feel obligated to our partners and exhibitors. We hope now fervently for their understanding and examine a date shift as well as co-operation with other organizers."
A alternative event for interested exhibitors, which the Trifels publishing house in the summer 2022 in high home at the Main will organize, is at present in planning. Further information and documentation on this will be available shortly.
