For the <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc das-museumsuferfest-wo-kultur-mit-kultur-gefeiert-wird.html _blank>Museumsuferfest the Museum Angewandte Kunst together with the Restaurant Emma Metzler, the Bar AMP and the Jazz Montez Association will be hosting a festival within a festival: The culture and music festival EL BARRIO offers three days of culinary delights, music and more. In the beautiful park around the museum, a colourful festival hustle and bustle will be created, which integrates perfectly into the Museumsuferfest, but also offers its very own character. The museum courtyard will be transformed into an international food court, where visitors can sample culinary specialities from numerous Frankfurt restaurateurs.

On two stages, live bands and DJs will provide musical enjoyment around the clock. On the Jazz Stage, created by Jazz Montez, representatives of the current jazz avant-garde will do the honours; highlights include the Melt Trio from Berlin, the international formation Heimatliebe feat. Niels Klein, Sun Dew, Insalar feat. Baris K from Istanbul and the Contrast Trio from Frankfurt, winner of the Hessian Jazz Prize. On the Electronic Music Stage, the stars of the Frankfurt and international DJ scene will be spinning electronic music with beats ranging from driving house to chilling dub. And on Saturday night, there will be a big summer night party in the museum foyer, where you can dance to the sounds of Aziesch and Baris K on the boards until the early hours of the morning.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a little peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle, you can get to know the museum's own urban gardening project at the green edge of the festival amidst the raised beds and create little scented wonders to take home. This is a real treat, as this area is otherwise off-limits to visitors. Performances and workshops provide insights into the culture of Korea, made possible thanks to the support of the Korean Consulate General.

And last but not least, the current exhibitions in the museum offer varied art enjoyment. Before the show "Lore Kramer. I couldn't live without ceramics" closes on August 26, it invites visitors to immerse themselves once again in the work of this exceptional designer during the festive weekend. The show "Michael Riedel. Grafik als Ereignis", fascinating photographs can be discovered at "RAY 2018: EXTREME. BODIES." The cabinet show "Looted. Collected. Deceived. The Pinkus/Ehrlich Collection and the Museum Angewandte Kunst" uncovers a dark museum secret, while "The Color of Jade and Eternity" presents Chinese ceramics spanning two and a half millennia.
