Between 2015 and 2020, Max was in action for FC Augsburg, for whom he recorded 15 goals and 29 assists in 156 games. The experienced defender made his Bundesliga debut in the 2013/14 season in the jersey of FC Schalke 04, for whom his father Martin Max was active as a striker for four years in the 1990s.

Philipp Max has also been in action for the German national team. In 2016, he won the Olympic silver medal with the DFB selection, followed by three more games for Germany in 2020.

The 1.77-meter-tall full-back already underwent his medical check at Eintracht Frankfurt, with a positive result. On Tuesday morning, Max, who will run up in the future with the number 32, participated for the first time in team training at Deutsche Bank Park.

Sports Director Markus Krösche says: "With Philipp Max, we gain an experienced defender to make us even more variable and flexible for the numerous demanding tasks in the Rückrunde. With his skills and also as a person, he fits perfectly into our team and we are happy about the option to be able to bind him in the longer term."
