New magazine 'Frankfurt gärtnert' informs about green issues in the city

Community gardens, urban climate and biodiversity

(kus) Neighbourhood and tenant gardens, bee projects, school initiatives and allotment garden associations - the opportunities to be active in gardening in Frankfurt are more diverse than ever. Anyone who has always wanted to test their green thumb will find a wide variety of ideas to try out in the new issue of the magazine "Frankfurt gärtnert".

"When more people live together in a smaller space, we also have to become more inventive when it comes to greenery," says Head of the Environment Rosemarie Heilig. "Even those who don't have a garden themselves can do something for green diversity in Frankfurt: starting with a balcony box to participating in nature-oriented meadow care projects."

The free magazine of the Frankfurt Green Spaces Office provides information about the rich offer, offers insights into sustainable educational projects and presents numerous "green oases" in the city that have been created in recent years through civic engagement.

The magazine is available, among other places, at the Frankfurt City Library and all district libraries, at the Bürgeramt (Zeil 3), at the Bürgerberatung FrankfurtForum (also Zeil 3, 6th floor) or at the MainÄppelHaus on the Lohrberg. It can be ordered free of charge from the Frankfurt Green Spaces Office at the e-mail address <link>mitmachen.amt67@stadt-frankfurt.de or by telephone at 069-212-74089.
