Riding a bike is good - for your health and for the environment. The fact that more and more people are opting for the wire bike and against the car is absolutely positive. But in order to drive this development even further forward, a rapid expansion of the bicycle infrastructure in and around Frankfurt is needed. The metropolis on the Main is already doing quite a bit in this regard: cycle path signage, bicycle parking facilities and cycle path construction are all areas in which the city of Frankfurt am Main is increasingly investing. Another facet of the infrastructure are the repair stations, which are already located in several places in the city. Now, three more repair stations have been installed by the Office for Road Construction and Development (ASE), which is responsible for this.
"From now on, cyclists will find tools and an air pump at Arthur-Stern-Platz in Rödelheim, at Riedberg High School and at the final stop of the subway in Bergen-Enkheim," says the head of the ASE, Michaela Kraft, happily. In addition, the station at Hauptwache has been replaced. The practical helpers cost around 1000 euros, depending on the equipment. Among other things, you can find screwdrivers, wrenches and air pump.
