Mayor Peter Feldmann visits construction sites in the Palmengarten
(kus) Under the guidance of the director of the Palmengarten Dr. Matthias Jenny, Lord Mayor visited the Palmengarten on Thursday, August 3. The focus of the visit was on the numerous renovation and new construction projects, such as the Villa Leonhardi, the Blossom and Butterfly House or the new construction of the nursery. In particular, the operator concept of the Villa Leonhardi as a place for all Frankfurt residents was welcomed.
Another site of the inspection was the construction site of the Tropicarium. Fascinated, the Lord Mayor also visited the Botanical Garden. "The Botanical Garden with the Senckenberg Medicinal Plant Garden is an under-appreciated jewel in Frankfurt's garden landscape," said the Lord Mayor. "After completion of the construction work, we should definitely beat the advertising drum for this, in order to bring all Frankfurt residents closer to this gem."
