New switches: no subways between Willy-Brandt-Platz and Südbahnhof

(kus) Due to switch construction work at Südbahnhof, there will be no subways between Willy-Brandt-Platz and Südbahnhof from Monday, October 16 to Sunday, October 22.

As an alternative, the suburban trains are available. From Hauptwache, these run in the direction of Hauptbahnhof as well as via Konstablerwache to Südbahnhof. Trams 15 and 16 connect Südbahnhof with the Schweizer-/Gartenstraße stop, while line 16 continues from here via Hauptbahnhof to Ginnheim.

Also on the further route, the U1, U2, U3, U8 and U9 are partly not as usual: The U1 and U2 end at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Here, when boarding, please note that the U1 towards Ginnheim departs from the usual platform, but the U2 towards Gonzenheim departs from the platform towards Südbahnhof.

The U3 will only run between Hohemark and Heddernheim, where it is possible to change to the U1 and U2, during the period mentioned. The U8 line will not run during the construction phase. If you want to go to Riedberg, you have to change from the U1 to the U9 at Heddernheimer Landstraße, which runs longer and with 3-car trains.

The municipal public transport company traffiQ and the VGF recommend their passengers to inform themselves before starting their journey and to plan for longer journey times. The timetable information on the Internet at <link http: www.traffiq.de _blank>
