If you want to find out which contact points there are in a wide variety of matters, you should definitely visit the Newcomers Festival in Frankfurt's Römer town hall. This year it will take place on Sunday, September 8, from 1 to 6 pm. This free event is aimed at all newcomers from all over the world.
The Newcomers Festival is a family-friendly fair and offers visitors important and useful information for a successful start to life in the Rhine-Main area. Here you can get information while having fun, meet people from all over the world as well as the wide range of offers in the city of Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. Visitors to the Newcomers Festival also have the opportunity to get to know city institutions and what they have to offer. At the same time, it is an excellent opportunity to network with the most international community in all of Germany.
At the Newcomers Festival, visitors can expect to find over 60 booths from educational institutions, service providers and organizations that make starting a new life and living in Frankfurt easier. Here you will also find numerous municipal institutions that will introduce themselves and be available for visitors to approach. A special highlight will be the presentation of the Newcomers Guide 2020. This is an English-language brochure with information on daily life in Germany and the Rhine-Main region. It contains interesting facts about housing, transport, housing registration as well as a directory of all institutions, companies, schools in the region and other important addresses and websites.
In addition to cultural contributions and a stage program, there will also be food and drink as well as the opportunity to network, meet service providers, helpers and other newcomers. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the inside of the Römer, Frankfurt's "good parlour".
The Newcomers Festival has been held annually on the first weekend of September since 2001.
