Nicolai Müller joins Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt has made a notable addition to its offensive line. From Hamburger SV Nicolai Müller moves free of charge to the Main. He receives a contract until 2020 with the option of another year. The two-time international played for Eintracht for five years as a youth player before moving to HSV via Greuther Fürth, Sandhausen and Mainz 05, where he has been the top scorer twice in the past four years.

"Nicolai is a seasoned Bundesliga professional who fits in perfectly with us," says sporting director Fredi Bobic. "He is fast and versatile in the offensive, and also a super guy in terms of character. His injury is also completely healed." Müller was therefore only able to play two games last season.

In total, Müller played 164 Bundesliga games for Mainz and Hamburg, scoring 37 goals. "Today is a nice day for me because I have always remained a fan of Eintracht Frankfurt," said the 30-year-old. "Things have grown here in recent years and I want to make my contribution to further successes. I can't wait to start for Eintracht again." (Eintracht Frankfurt Fussball AG)
