No front boarding in public buses - measure against the spread of the Corona virus

In order to contain the spread of the Corona virus, the help of each of us is needed. There are often small things that are already helpful: no handshaking, sneezing into the crook of the arm, washing hands regularly and avoiding large gatherings of people - if that can be done. Another measure is now being implemented by traffiQ, the local public transport company in Frankfurt.

Following the recommendation of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund, Frankfurt's bus transport companies are being instructed to keep the front door closed on scheduled buses. This measure, about which also with notices in the buses is informed, applies until further notice. Passengers can use the other doors to get on and off the bus. This is to avoid any possible transmission of the virus between bus driver and passengers.

This measure also means that there will no longer be ticket sales on the buses. Passengers without tickets are asked to pull tickets from existing machines.

The RMV has also issued more info about the virus, which you can find HERE
