No spring in Frankfurt without Dippemess

No spring in Frankfurt without Dippemess

When one ride lines up next to the next on the fairground on Ratsweg, the Ferris wheel rises into the air and young and old alike are already shuffling their feet, it's a clear sign - the spring Dippemess is back! The colorful fair for the whole family invites from April 12 to May 5 to laugh, dance, cheer and scare.

Among the diverse offerings of 138 showmen and merchants, especially the 20 different rides and amusement rides promise again plenty of adrenaline rushes, the one or other spinning worm and a great view of the fairground and the Frankfurt skyline. You can experience the Jules Verne Tower, an eighty-metre high chain carousel in a class of its own, or let yourself be whirled through the air by the XXL Racer (propeller). You can also look forward to the Ferris wheel again this time. You should not only enjoy the great view from above, but also take a close look at the Ferris wheel itself - because the frame, which was delivered from Munich just before the event, was decorated with the Frankfurt cityscape and the city coat of arms for the first time this year. And at the ticket booth you will be greeted by a befitting "Guude"

For those who shy away from heights, it's easy to get jolted by Jaguar Express, Breakdancer and Co. or wander through the two-story ghost train and the new mirror maze Alcatraz. In addition, numerous lottery/shooting and game booths await you, where this year you can win cute llama cuddly toys, among other things. Daredevil fighters have the opportunity to compete with professional fighters in the Fight Club boxing booth and those who want to dare a glimpse into the future can pay a visit to the fortune teller Novredana.

The Dippemess will be officially opened on Friday at 6pm with the obligatory tapping of the barrel by Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann. From then on, the gates are open daily from 14.00 to 23.00 (on weekends even until 24.00). The rides will also be open on 1 May and on the Easter weekend (from 12 noon). Only on Good Friday there is a break. For families, a visit is especially worthwhile on Family Thursdays, when the ride prices on all carousels are halved. But also on Tuesdays great savings offers for all children up to 12 years attract.

A special highlight of the Dippemess is of course this spring again the fireworks on 5. May at 22.00 clock.

Since there are hardly any parking facilities on the site, you should best arrive by train or bus. The U7 offers during the Dippemess almost constantly more space by additional cars and brings you with the stop "Eissporthalle/Festplatz" directly to your destination. Otherwise you can also use the tram line 12 as well as the bus lines 38 and 103. Since all lines also run after midnight, you don't have to worry about getting home. We wish you all a lot of fun at the Dippemess.
