Celebrating with a royal visit from Ice Queen Elsa and Ice Princess Anna
The Hessen-Center opened its new parking deck this morning. Center Manager Olaf M. Kindt was the first visitor to welcome "Saint Nicholas," who arrived on a Christmas-decorated Vespa. After almost one and a half years of construction, the first 750 parking spaces are now going into operation.
New parking deck with direct access to the center
.The new parking deck offers a range of additional services and modern conveniences, including numerous parking spaces with special features, specially reserved spaces for women, families with children, customers with disabilities, numerous widened parking spaces with a minimum width of 2.75 meters, and covered bicycle parking. An individual parking space display was also installed, which shows free parking spaces at a glance.
OIaf M. Kindt, Center Manager Hessen-Center Frankfurt: "I am glad that we were able to keep our promise to open the parking deck during the all-important Christmas season. With the new parking decks, we are creating very good shopping conditions for our visitors."
Alexander Kemling, project manager of the construction company Max Bögl, expresses his satisfaction with the opening of the first parking deck. "The work has been completed on schedule. All the builders and suppliers have put their skills to work to meet the completion date. After a short breather, we will then move straight on to the construction of the second parking deck in January."
Fittingly for St. Nicholas Day, St. Nicholas will be on duty throughout the day today and tomorrow, Saturday, delighting little visitors. He will be assisted by the angels and pageboys of the Heavenly Service, as well as many life-size mascots who will accompany him on opening day between 1pm and 6pm. On Dec. 7, Santa will even be accompanied by Snow Queen Elsa, Ice Princess Anna and Snowman Olaf between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Investment in attractive, contemporary overall appearance of the Hessen-Center Frankfurt
A total of more than 45 million euros will be invested in the redesign of the Hessen-Center Frankfurt. € invested. The center will be extensively modernized, redesigned and significantly upgraded for customers and tenants. In autumn 2020, visitors to Frankfurt East will be offered even more with over 1,400 new parking spaces, additional service offerings and improved facilities.
"Our aim is to significantly increase the quality of stay at the shopping center in Frankfurt East, which has been popular for decades" continued Olaf M. Kindt. "With a contemporary look, modern services and an attractive atmosphere, we want to delight our many regular customers and also attract new ones."
In the course of the new car park construction, the external image of the Hessen-Center will also be significantly improved. With an appealing anthracite-colored façade look, new green strips and modern lighting, the integration in the district will be emphasized and the center will be visually moved closer to Borsigallee.
Work is also continuing inside the center. The modernization and beautification of the mall is progressing. New concepts are also being added to the tenant mix and upgraded with more attractive tenants. Among others, the more than 5,000 m<x>ampersand</x>sup2; food space has been leased to EDEKA. The grocery store is scheduled to open in summer 2020.
With its approximately 115 specialist shops, the Hessen-Center Frankfurt is the shopping experience in the east of Frankfurt. The branch mix, which is individually tailored to the region, is a shopping and communication hub. In a covered shopping street on a sales area of approx. 39,100 sqm, the center combines a department store, clothing stores and fashion boutiques, specialty stores for jeans and leisure wear, shoes and accessories as well as perfumeries and service shops, Cafés and restaurants.
