Palmengarten also reopens Siesmayerstaße entrance

Now it will be even easier for many visitors to visit the beautiful Palmengarten again. This is because, to coincide with the start of the Hessian summer holidays, the Palmengarten will once again be accessible through the entrance in Siesmayerstrasse from Monday, July 6. In the past weeks since the reopening, this was only possible via Palmengartenstraße. Now, however, two entrances are once again available to visitors.

There is still one small restriction here, however: the historic entrance showhouse in Siesmayerstrasse cannot be used as an entrance and exit as usual, but only as an entrance. You can leave the Palmengarten via the turnstiles.

In addition, the following rules continue to apply to protect against Corona: The show houses and exhibition galleries remain closed and the popular Palm Express in the depot. Grouping is allowed only in accordance with the current ordinance, and mouth-to-nose cover is required indoors. The usual minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other visitors must be maintained, and on the sunbathing lawn and the playground the distance is as much as five metres. Picnicking is still prohibited.

The water playground, like all other water playgrounds in the city, will remain out of service for the time being. However, the city is looking into reopening them over the summer holidays. The other playgrounds in the Palm Garden are open, as are the miniature golf course and the boat rental at the large pond, weather permitting.

And there's some really good news for all lovers of live music events: From August 1 to 30, the Palmengarten and its cooperation partners will be hosting a special-format music season that will cater to all genres, from jazz to chamber opera to the "Summer in the City" series. Tickets are available now from Frankfurt Ticket. Detailed information will follow.

No advance ticket booking is required to visit the Palmengarten. Tickets are only available at the entrance ticket offices. Exchanges for annual ticket holders at the Siesmayersaal/Eingangschauhaus have been extended until Friday, July 10. After that, exchanges will be made at the entrance box offices. Annual pass holders must also present their passes at the box office until further notice.
