Party in weightlessness - WORLD CLUB DOME Zero Gravity starts in February

There has never been anything like this before: On 07 February there will be a very special launch at Frankfurt Airport. Together with the astronauts of the European Space Agency (ESA), Jean-Francois Clervoy (Chairman of Novespace, a subsidiary of CNES) and Pedro Duque, twenty winners from all continents will experience an unforgettable party in weightlessness in the "Smallest Club in the World". Conceived as a pre-party for the 3-day WORLD CLUB DOME main event in June, BigCityBeats has teamed up with ESA and Fraport AG to set up this ambitious project.

Tickets were not available for purchase, but were drawn via an international competition. Twenty lucky winners now get to join international DJs Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, W&W and Le Shuuk in a ZeroG Airbus (normally reserved for scientific teams and the European Space Agency (ESA) for training) for 90 minutes of what is probably the most unforgettable party of their lives. Astronaut Pedro Duque is sure that none of the participants will ever forget this flight: "I remember my first ZeroG flight during my astronaut training. The feeling of weightlessness is something unique. A parabolic flight is the only way you can feel like you're in space without having to board a rocket. For us astronauts, these flights are very important to familiarize ourselves with what it's like to be in space."

For Anke Giesen, Executive Board Member Operations at Fraport AG, this project is also a very special event: "We have been in partnership with BigCityBeats and the WorldClubDome for a number of years and have already opened the city's most beautiful club - the Dorian Gray 2.0 - in the terminal three times together. We look forward to soon experiencing the first club in Zero Gravity, welcoming BigCityBeats and ESA to Frankfurt Airport."

Together with ESA, Fraport Frankfurt and the City of Frankfurt, BigCityBeats has once again shown what is possible when the fascination of science and the joy and fun of entertainment meet.
