Plot Projects opens as a flexible venue for art, culture and encounters

Plot Projects, a new meeting place for the creative scene, has opened in Frankfurt's Fahrgasse, where galleries, cafés and concept stores line the street. The conversion of a former gallery at number 17 creates around 80 square metres of space for changing formats of art, culture and design. At the opening on Thursday, 10 October, Mayor Mike Josef (SPD) welcomed numerous guests from the worlds of business, culture and society.

"We have created a space in Frankfurt that can be adapted to a wide variety of uses," said Vicky Grinsted from the creative agency esistfreitag, which is behind the project. The concept focuses on minimalist design and modular structures that allow the space to be redesigned again and again. In the coming months, exhibitions, workshops, dinner events, presentations, discussions and pop-ups are to take place – from short individual events to formats lasting several months.

Flexible architecture with high design standards

The interior design is by Steffen Eberhardt, who deliberately designed the space to be open and adaptable. "My concept aims to create a balance between clarity and openness through proportions, light and colour," explains the designer. Large windows facing the driveway ensure transparency and visibility, while dimmable lighting, a modern sound system and a fully equipped kitchen open up flexible usage options. The furnishings include modular furniture, flexible exhibition systems and decorative elements that can be adapted to the respective formats. Dinner events for up to 20 people are also planned. Plot Projects sees itself as a place that can be a stage, a workshop and a gallery all at once.

Platform for new ideas and networks

In addition to simply renting out space, the agency offers additional services – from event coordination to catering and communication measures to content production.u0022>esistfreitag offers additional services – from event coordination to catering and communication measures to content production. "The space should not only be a venue, but also a catalyst for creative ideas and new networks," says Amin Baghi from esistfreitag. In addition to individual bookings for companies, brands and creative professionals, a separate programme is also planned, including regular dinners, readings and discussions. With "Plot Projects", Frankfurt's city centre is gaining a new attraction for artists and cultural professionals, underscoring the growing importance of Fahrgasse as a creative district.
