Premiere for the Frankfurt trade show 'Frankfurt am Start'

(ffm) A city is as lively as its districts - for this reason, the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency is initiating a new program for all 46 districts: 'Frankfurt am Start'. Here, the trade associations and interest groups from the districts are accompanied and supported in the organization of trade shows and other activities.

In this regard, Markus Frank, head of the Department of Economic Affairs, explains: "The offers and special features of the local economy in particular are to be brought more into focus." Oliver Schwebel, Managing Director of the Economic Development Agency, underlines: "At each event, a special spotlight is to be cast on the respective district with its diversity of industries."

An integral part of "Frankfurt am Start" are the twice-yearly trade shows, at which the local economy can present itself in its entire range. Craftsmen, service providers, traders, restaurants and other players will present their district under the common motto.

The first event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, in Frankfurt's Brückenviertel together with the "Stilblüten" design festival and "Late-Night Shopping" (Saturday, until midnight).

"The personal and individual shopping experience in the neighborhood should be made tangible," explains Susanne Stahl, chairwoman of the Brückenviertel trade association. Nearly 40 participants show there their handicraft, their variety and creativity.

On the new website <link http: www.frankfurt-am-start.de _blank>Http://www.Frankfurt-am-Start.de the activities are presented. The first "Frankfurt-am-Start" trade show will be advertised via radio spots, large surfaces and advertisements as well as with online banners. All participants will also be able to integrate and present themselves on social networks.

Districts and trade associations can apply to the Frankfurt Economic Development Corporation to host further trade shows, which will then take place twice a year. This is possible for individual districts as well as for a group of neighbouring districts.
