Pret A Diner offers a very special dining experience

Two years ago, the culinary pop-up event PRET A DINER invited guests to a street food mile above the rooftops of the city. The combination of culinary highlights and a spectacular sunset view of the skyline made this edition of the dining event so special. But now, at the opening, we got to see the location and the culinary offerings for ourselves - and we are thrilled.

The former Deutsche Bank building, which will soon be demolished to make way for the new Quartiert FOUR, has been transformed into a fascinating location with a wow effect. Over the next few weeks, the ground floor will host a showroom of the exclusive partner Aston Martin, which interested visitors can visit daily until 5 pm. PRET A DINER will then be located on the first floor. But first you enter an atmospheric bar, which can be visited even if you have not booked a ticket for the dinner. But it is recommended to be put on the guest list in order to get a place in the bar in any case. Here there are then daily from 18 clock various cocktails, wines and also a small selection of food.

Further it goes then in the hall, where the guests are fed and entertained. The centrepiece is the open kitchen, where food is prepared by four multinational gastro start-ups from London - ISLAND POK&Eacute;, KYM`S, A.MANO and KRICKET. The space is intriguing with a mix of elegance, industrial chic and lots of greenery. The lighting is rather subtle, which adds to a certain coziness. In addition to food and drinks, there is also an entertainment program for the guests, which was also perfectly matched to the overall experience. The complete menu (5 courses) is available for 69 euros, but there are also tickets for 19 &euro; to have. Here you get a plate with samples of different dishes.

For the team it was not only an enormous challenge to implement a completely new concept at a new location in a new style. Also the fact that there was no kitchen in the location, no necessary techniques like fume hood and others or also the variety of dishes the guests are allowed to choose from, make this edition of PRET A DINER extremely exciting for everyone involved. But this is also appreciated. Even before the first plate was carried out of the kitchen, the intended target of 3,000 bookings was reached - and the guest performance was unceremoniously extended by two weeks. So this pop up dining experience is now at 11 Junghofstrasse up to and including 14 October.

The culinary offering, which hails from Hawaii, Italy, China and India, combines classic dishes with completely new taste experiences. Whether it's Italian tagliatelle with beef stew cooked for eight hours, shrimp in a coconut-lime sauce with curry, extremely tender sweet and sour ribs in an oyster sauce, Indian chicken in a chili sauce or Hawaiian beef tataki pok&eacute; with toasted sesame seeds and soy sprouts - in each dish, the interplay of premium ingredients and exciting spices creates many little explosions of flavor.
