Preventim launches digital test drive-in in Frankfurt

The 7-day incidence is falling below 100 in more and more counties in Hesse. Frankfurt is still above that, but even here things are going in the right direction. If that remains so, then also increased opening steps come into force. Rapid tests will then play an important role here. In time for this, the company Preventim is ramping up its rapid test capacities in Frankfurt with a professional infrastructure. In the coming days, the provider will open fully digital test drive-ins at three central locations with a total capacity of up to 3,000 quick tests daily. Only about 15 minutes after the free smear test, test persons will receive their certificate digitally on their smartphone without much waiting time. The new rapid test line on Hanauer Landstraße at the Flamme furniture store already kicked off on May 14. By the end of this week, two more will open in the office city Niederrad and directly at the ice rink.

The quick test could hardly be easier. Registration and one-time entry of personal data in the chayns app. Booking of the appointment. Drive, cycle or walk to the test drive-in. And after swabbing, test subjects receive the certificate directly into the app's wallet. "With our three new test drive-ins, we are significantly professionalizing your quick test infrastructure in Frankfurt," says Preventim founder Frederic Lanz. "At important hubs in the city center, we offer an uncomplicated service for the population and thus create more security for all further opening steps as well." And this for private contacts as well as those in the public or professional space.

Test service starts at Hanauer Landstraße

Appointments are already available for the test drive-in at Möbel Flamme at buchbar. Three days before the opening, it is also possible to book appointments for testing at the other locations at for the office city drive-in and at for the location at the ice rink. On site, specially trained employees from the region carry out the tests. If the result is negative, those tested can use the certificate as proof. If the rapid test is positive, the app automatically transmits a notice to the health department and the test person is warned immediately.

A plus in security for further opening steps.

Frankfurt also gets a boost in safety from the quick turnaround: "Thanks to large-scale rapid testing, we are gaining a detailed picture of the infection situation in Frankfurt. Rapid testing will remain an important pillar in the fight against the pandemic", says Lanz. Because the withdrawal of restrictions and further opening steps also depend on negative test results.

Meanwhile, the three sites have professional testing structures in place. That's because Preventim is building on its positive experience of high throughput in the Rhine-Main region and North Rhine-Westphalia. Including the three new drive-ins in Frankfurt, Preventim has already set up more than ten open-air centers since the beginning of April - most recently, for example, in the retail center at Darmstädter Kreuz. The demand remains high. Preventim founder Frederic Lanz is already negotiating with further companies. "A parking lot or a similar large area is sufficient and soon there will be a test drive-in on the company's own premises," he says."
