Reading with Nele Neuhaus at Schlosshotel Kronberg

Germany's most successful crime novelist as a guest at Schlosshotel Kronberg:
Nele Neuhaus reads from her new novel "Monster"

Exciting start to the new year: After the overwhelming success of past readings, Nele Neuhaus will soon be back at Schlosshotel Kronberg. The well-known crime writer will be presenting her latest book "Monster" on February 5, March 11 and April 8 - each Monday evening - in the unique atmosphere of Victoria Kaiserin Friedrich's library. Following the reading, guests will enjoy a high-quality three-course menu by chef Christoph Hesse and his team in the equally impressive green salon.

In "Monster", investigative duo Pia Kirchhoff and Oliver von Bodenstein are confronted with several horrific events at once: The body of a 16-year-old girl is discovered in a field, apparently strangled to death. A DNA analysis quickly leads to the suspicion of a rejected asylum seeker from Afghanistan. At the same time, a man covered in bite wounds is hit by a car on a country road in the Hintertaunus and dies - he had previously taken part in an illegal car race. As the detectives come across more and more mysterious cases and connections in their investigations, they are unsuspectingly heading towards a catastrophe. Nele Neuhaus tells the story in her usual gripping and fast-paced manner, captivating her readers from the first to the last page. "Monster" made it to number one on the SPIEGEL bestseller list after just three days on sale.
The readings are limited to 70 people due to the limited capacity in the historic library of the Schlosshotel. To fulfil individual signing requests, an exclusive book sale will be organized on site in cooperation with the Millennium bookshop from Königstein. In addition to the reading and the three-course meal including drinks, the ticket price of 125 euros also includes a glass of "Prinz von Hessen" sparkling wine as a welcome drink. Tickets are available in the online store.

Reservations can also be made by telephone on +49 6173 32709 22 or by email to reservations@schlosshotel-kronberg.de.

More exciting stories at Schlosshotel Kronberg: The Literary Salon This year, the Literary Salon at Schlosshotel Kronberg also knows how to inspire with great literature. On four dates between January and May 2024, a well-known author will read from a work in the library. Bernd Eilert will be visiting on January 28 and Horst Launinger on February 25. Jörg Bong and Jean-Luc Bannalec will come to the Taunus on March 24, and Livia Gerster will close the season on May 12. After the readings, guests will have the opportunity to talk directly to the author during a salon discussion. The events will be moderated and organized by Sandra Kegel, editor in charge of the FAZ arts section. The evenings are rounded off in style with an aperitif and three-course menu from the castle kitchen. Tickets for the Literary Salon are available for 125 euros via the online store.
