Relaxed on the Main - Primus-Linie is sailing again

Daily round trips, skylight tours and day trips bookable again

The sun is shining, the temperatures are rising - this is the perfect weather for a trip on the Main. Unfortunately, that hasn't been possible in recent weeks, as the Primus Line ships have also had to shut down operations to contain the Corona virus. But in the course of the current relaxation you can now enjoy the most beautiful sides of the city from the water again. From now on the daily round trips through Frankfurt are offered again. On this classic Primus Line trip you can experience the Main metropolis in all its diversity. The city on the banks of the Main is urban, glittering, lively and at the same time historic. Upstream you go in the direction of the Osthafen to the Gerbermühle and downstream to the Westhafen and back to the Mainkai. Simply beautiful!

"We are pleased to finally welcome guests on board again. Of course, we have to and want to comply with the specified hygiene and precautionary measures in order to protect our guests and crew members. Our furniture on the ships is arranged in such a way that keeping the minimum distances is no problem", explains Marie Nauheimer, Managing Director of Primus-Linie. The departure times of the round trips have also been adapted to the current situation so that passengers can also maintain the minimum distance when boarding and disembarking. This means that the 60-minute round trips have enough time between each departure for passengers to change, which is regulated via two different entrances and exits. The round trip costs 12 euros for adults and seven euros for children aged six to 14.

Even during the day, the round trips offer guests a great view of the Frankfurt skyline. On the Skylight tours, which can now also take place on Saturday evenings again and depart at 10 p.m., passengers on the Primus Line can expect to see a lightshow of illuminations on the skyscrapers, the banks of the Main River and the special lighting effects on the Main River bridges that are passed during the tour. Adults pay 12.90 euros and children 8.10 euros for the approximately 60-minute Skylight Tour.

For a longer stay on board, the Primus Line's day trips, which will be offered again from 21 May 2020, are ideal. Here, the journey takes you either up the Main to Aschaffenburg with Bavaria's oldest English landscape park or to the historic town of Seligenstadt, which is well worth seeing. Down the Main, another day trip leads to the Rhine as far as Rüdesheim. The Rheingau is one of the smallest wine-growing areas in Germany and is definitely worth a visit. The day trips Aschaffenburg and Rüdesheim cost from the Main quay with the ship there and back for adults 33.50 euros and for children 16.75 euros. For the day trip Seligenstadt adults pay 28.50 euros and children 14.25 euros.

So if you ever feel like a relaxing and really nice trip, who wants to dangle the soul and enjoy the view of our beautiful city, this is the right place!
