Return to summer holiday schedule: buses and trains run more often again

(ffm) Buses and trams in Frankfurt am Main will run more frequently again from Monday, 20 April. They will then run on Mondays to Fridays as they do during the summer holidays. On Saturdays and Sundays, the Sunday timetable will continue to apply. Night services will remain suspended until further notice.

RMV timetable information is currently

About the RMV app and on http://www.rmv-frankfurt.de passengers can find out about the timetables and their new connections. Staff on the RMV service telephone at 069/24248024 are also available around the clock and will be happy to provide advice.

Federal-state meeting brings relaxations

Following the meeting between the states and the federal government on Wednesday, April 15, some relaxations of the Corona restrictions were announced, as widely expected. The city of Frankfurt, the municipal public transport company traffiQ, the Frankfurt transport company (VGF) and the bus transport companies had prepared for this and can now react, as more passengers on buses and trains can now be expected again. Passengers will continue to be offered as much space as possible. Compared to the normal timetable, the holiday timetable only offers a minus of about five per cent of the service on the underground and trams and of about seven per cent on the regular buses.

On numerous bus, tram and underground lines, the summer holiday timetable does not differ from the normal timetable. In these cases, no summer holiday timetables can be found in the showcases of the bus stops and stations.

Cancellation of individual trips is still possible depending on the development of the sickness rate at the transport companies and also renewed more severe restrictions of public transport cannot be ruled out. The city of Frankfurt, traffiQ and the transport companies ask their passengers for this understanding.
